Hi, I’m Elisha!
A qualified secondary school teacher, mother and founder of Project Unplugged.
During the height of the pandemic, I was deeply moved by research that found that teenagers non-school related screen time was rapidly increasing, and, more alarmingly, as were mental health issues among the youth, an interlinking trend which is still on the rise today.
I felt compelled to provide young people an opportunity to ‘unplug’ from devices, enjoy the great outdoors and engage with the local community (namely some wonderful elderly Frenchay residents!). I wanted to create a programme that dissected the pros and cons of the digital world and explored ways to thrive alongside it. I wanted sessions to be fun, playful and brimming with activities - and all without a phone in sight!
Soon thereafter, Project Unplugged was born.
The first Project Unplugged programme took place in 2021 and was a roaring success!
Don’t just take our word for it, check out the testimonies from participants & parents.
The 2022 offering shall be even better - & we cannot wait to get going!
